Castle Learning courses in Spanish and French offer great practice and review questions on a wide variety of everyday topics. These topics include clothes, shopping, food, travel, health and safety, the arts, and much more!
New this month is a collection of public assignments focusing specifically on listening for factual information (specific details) or for the main idea of an audio selection. A variety of native language speakers are featured in the recordings. Audio controls allow students to pause, speed up, or slow down the recording, as well as to replay the selection as many times as needed.

Castle Learning Online’s Elementary English Course has just released 100 new HOMOPHONE questions. The additions to the Unit: Spelling include:
Fifty new reading questions: students read a sentence and determine the appropriate homophone.
Fifty new audio questions: students listen to a homophone used in a sentence, then spell the correct homophone.
All of the questions use artwork in the hints and reasons to assist students in their quest to master homophones.
Castle Learning plans to release 100 additional homophone questions in the course Intermediate English. These questions should arrive shortly and are more difficult than those in the Elementary English database.
The Castle Learning experience continues to be enhanced, and this holiday season we are rolling out an early gift! From now until August 30, 2012, all schools will have complimentary access to our new partner product, ReadSpeaker®.
Students will have the ability to click a Listen link within an assignment and hear an audio version (text-to-speech) of: questions, answers, hints, reasons, and even reading selections! In addition to audio, students will see the text highlighted as it is read, providing a visually engaging environment to an audio stimulating function.
Students can play, pause or stop audio, and can modify their individual ReadSpeaker® settings to adjust:
