Answering Constructed Response Questions on Mobile Devices & eInstruction Assignment Help

Question #1: Help! My students are reporting that they cannot answer constructed response questions on their iPads because the onscreen keyboard is covering the box to type in their answer.

  • Answer: Have your students disable the split keyboard feature from the iPad’s General Settings page. This will allow them to view the box and type in their answer.

Question #2: I do not see the eInstruction® icon next to my assignment. Why not?

  • Answer: Please note, the clickers can only be used with assignments containing only multiple-choice questions. If your assignment contains any fill-in or constructed response questions, you will not see the eInstruction® icon. You must first remove these questions in order to use the clickers.

eInstruction Partnership Makes Student Response System Communication Easy

The Castle Learning team has announced a newly formed partnership with the leading provider in student response systems–eInstruction®.       The Castle Learning development team has been working closely with eInstruction® to build an integrated, easy-to-use interface for the two technologies to “talk” to one another seamlessly!  Using student response systems (“clickers”) gives teachers and students an opportunity to use Castle Learning even when the computer lab isn’t available. An instructional document has been created to assist in the setup and implementation of this new feature.  Please be sure to read through the document and follow the installation and setup instructions prior to use.  You can locate the document here, or by clicking the eInstruction Student Response Systems link in the Documents section of your Castle Learning account. Contact your Castle Learning Territory Manager or eInstruction representative to learn about the special offer that eInstruction® is providing current Castle Learning schools and districts, and stay tuned for additional information!
